Model Tuesday- Millen Magese

Style Guide Cape Town spotted Millen looking oh.. so chic during Arise Africa fashion week 2009. I love her shirt dress with ruffled details on the neckline cinched with a big chocolate colored belt. Her face looks flawless (not too much make up). It looks like she is wearing tights too. Just gorgeous!

FJ of the day- Siscar

My Kirette Couture dress!

This past weekend I had little something for the girls and I. So I finally got to wear the green dress from Kirette Couture summer 2009 collection for a night out in the city! I paired my dress with Yves Saint Laurent heels and a simple cute Indian pulse ( bought it from convenient store for $20). I hope you will be able to see all the details on the dress.
Visit www.kirettecouture.com to learn more about the dress and where/how you can purchase the collection.

Mustafa Hassanali Collection At ARISE AFRICA FASHION WEEK

I love love this collection! Everything about it look polished and superb. This collection is definetely for everyone. I am just drooling over these dresses like a kid in a candy store! I love the flowing pretty chiffons gowns, colorful African prints and the fact that he used umbrellas to accessorize some of his looks. I could see Hollywood ladies rocking this collection on the red capert (fingers crossed!). This is one of his strongest-looking collection so far. What's your thought??

Who wore Matthew Williamson Beige Trent better?

Rihanna wore this Matthew Williamson coat first with a pair of Christian Louboutin  Velours  Scrunch Boots during her shopping at Intermix  last month. Beyonce was spotted leaving Heathrow airport this morning wearing same coat.

Kirette Couture Fashion Show

Hey Fashionjunkiis!
So last Wednesday I made my way out to Kirette Couture Fashion show for their Summer 2009 collection. The show took place in the city at The Boucarou. Kirette couture is the brainchild of two young Cameroonian ladies Anrette Ngafor who is based in the UK and Kibonen Nfi based in US. Before the show started I was able to go back stage for a quick sneak peek of the whole collection. I must admit everything was off the hook. Love the whole collection.

About Kirette couture:
"KiRette Couture is a revolution. And at its helm are creators Anrette Ngafor and Kibonen Nfi.Influenced by their passion for fashion and their love of their roots, the duo weave traditional and contemporary styles to bring African sexy back to the street and the catwalk. Hatched in the New York chic bubble, KiRette aims to create a new fashion language that transcends racial and cultural borders. They specialise in tailored, handcrafted and limited edition pieces. All their products are reasonably priced. Do you love fashion, the arts or just the sweet sensation of creative freedom? Then hop onboard and spread the word. Help turn vogue up-side-down together with KiRette"

Here are a few pictures I took from the show. They are not the best pictures but I am sure they are good enough to be posted on FJ. Please enjoy !

Designer Kibonen (4th from left) posing for pictures with all of her models after the show.

Models back stage after the show. Love their heels especially the Valentino heels ( First model on the left). By the way, the green dress is mine. I took it off the model right after the show. I just couldn't help it!

Kibonen was kind enough to pose for a picture with yours truly, FJ(By the way I wore J brand Jeans with a black top  and a white ruffled bolero)
One of the models Veggie posing with Toronto fashionista Bunuzi.
These three fabulous fashionistas were sitting right next to me. I loved the way they were dressed, everyone had her own individual style!

I also met up with these ladies and I was pleased to learn they are all working in the fashion industry. Love the blue Elizabeth and James dress and love their beautiful smiles I just couldn't stop droolling over their heels. Love them!!
The audience were also entertained by South African musician Wax right before the show started. I was not familiar with his music but I did enjoy the music.
Here are a few more pictures.
UPDATE: Wax is from Cameroon  but lives in  South Africa.
